Yamnuska Ridge 

DESCRIPTION: This is a 7km hike which takes you to a superlative view point on the ridge of Mount John Laurie, more commonly know as Yamnuska - "Wall of Stone". As you get higher, to a height of 1798m by gaining 436m, below is a beautiful view of the Bow Valley which is particularly impressive in the fall as the leaves are all turning colours.

  • We surmounted two peaks in one day and used cables to get to the other peak
  • We did some rock skiing on our descent
