DESCRIPTION: This hike was a combination of the Rockbound Lake Trail, Silverton Falls Trail, and our own trail. We began by going along a 1km trail to Silverton Falls, a 90m high waterfall found at the base of Castle Mountain. From there we bushwhacked towards Castle Mountain until we met up with the Rockbound Lake Trail. We never completed the trail, but we did make it high enough to see Rockbound Lake and some nice views. A description of the Rockbound Lake Trail is found in the Rockbound Lake (Cancelled) album.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • We found Rockbound Lake Trail after bushwhacking up the lower part of the mountain through dense trees and fallen logs
  • We had a snowball fight
  • Scott and Jason tried to ambush the girls, but were quite unsuccessful
